The Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) coordinates submissions of proposals and acceptance of awards for contracts and grants at University of California, Merced. Externally funded contracts and grants come to UC Merced from many sources, including federal agencies, the State of California, other state and local governments, foundations, and corporations. Employees who receive salary from UC Merced or who use University resources or facilities must submit their proposals for externally funded contracts and grants through SPO as established by UCOP Operating Guidance N. 95-1.
